SLAINTE AND SALUTE

I just came across the Italian word for happy hour, “Orario in cui le consumazioni alcoliche in un bar hanno prezzi ridotti.”  Roughly, it translates to “A time and a place where one goes to make a bad situation worse.”  Italy’s version is quite different from the Ireland’s idea of happy hour, which is “What time is it?”
