One thought ahead. Three sentences behind.

Under African Skies

Joseph’s face was black as night
The pale yellow moon shown in his eyes
His path was marked by the stars
Of the southern hemisphere and
A handheld GPS device he bought on EBay

This is a story about how one no longer needs to linger
This is the powerful pulse of satellite positioning
After the dream of calling her name out
Joseph can check his coordinates
And find his girlfriend’s house again
